1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sigma Digital s.r.o., ID No. 08897573, with its registered office at Bělehradská 858/23, 120 00 Prague, Czechia ("Sigma Digital", "we", "us", or "our"). They apply to the Traject mobile application, its API, and traject-app.com (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Traject provides
Traject lets you manually organise financial accounts and similar containers, record periodic balances, currencies, notes, and adjustments, and view calculations based on that information. The Service is currently provided without a paid plan or subscription.
Traject does not connect to banks, initiate transactions, hold funds, sell financial products, or verify that information you enter is complete or accurate. Exchange rates are reference data obtained from third-party public sources and may be delayed, unavailable, or different from rates offered by a financial institution.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your email address current.
Accounts use an email address and may use email sign-in links or a password. You are responsible for protecting access to your email account, device, password, and authentication links. Notify us promptly at hi@traject-app.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of information you enter into Traject ("Your Content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and meet our legal obligations. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for temporary backups or information we must lawfully retain.
You are responsible for Your Content and must have the right to provide it. Avoid entering another person's personal information or unnecessary sensitive information in names and notes.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person's rights;
- access or attempt to access another user's account or non-public data;
- probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, rate limits, or Service operation;
- introduce malware or use automated traffic that places an unreasonable load on the Service;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content supplied by us, belongs to Sigma Digital or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
7. Third-party services
We use third-party infrastructure to provide Traject, including Fly.io for hosting, MongoDB Atlas for database hosting, and Resend for transactional email. We also retrieve reference exchange rates from Frankfurter and the European Central Bank. Their availability can affect the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process and why. The website does not use cookies or analytics, and the mobile app does not use browser cookies, so there is no separate cookie policy.
9. Changes, availability, and updates
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may release updates needed for security or compatibility. We aim to keep Traject available but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent operation. Maintenance, provider outages, security issues, and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt the Service.
10. Financial information disclaimer
Traject is an organisational and informational tool, not accounting, investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice. Calculations, projections, forecasts, evaluations, trends, balances, visualisations, and exchange-rate conversions are estimates provided for general informational purposes. They depend on the data you enter, assumptions made by the Service, and third-party reference data, and may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or incorrect. They are not guarantees or predictions of future results.
Your use of Traject does not create an adviser-client or fiduciary relationship. You remain solely responsible for reviewing and verifying information before acting on it. Do not rely on Traject as the sole record of your finances or as the basis for a financial, investment, tax, or legal decision. Check important information with the relevant institution and seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.
11. Account deletion and termination
You may stop using Traject at any time and may delete your account through the app. Account deletion removes the account and associated active data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, will survive.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or its data will always be accurate, secure, available, or free of harmful components. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sigma Digital and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill arising from the Service. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to it will not exceed EUR 100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where applicable, or mandatory consumer rights.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product reasons. We will post the updated version with a new date and, for material changes, provide reasonable additional notice. Unless stated otherwise, changes apply when posted. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Czechia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Czechia will have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer, you retain the protection of mandatory laws and the right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
16. General
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of Traject.
